Collecting Royal Doulton Bunnykins is a booming leisure, with about 400 figures to collect from the county (Â £ 10-20) limited editions (Â £ 50-Â £ 250). At any one time there between 1500 and 2000 figures Bunnykins for sale on eBay with figures rarest high prices. The range Bunnykins is cleverly designed to please both for the gift market and collectors. Figures with a Christmas or Easter theme are quite commonly issued and there is a Bunnykins to represent most trades and professions. In the call market there are frequent collectors limited edition and Issues Collectors Club.
This section is specialized in Bunnykins figures. Initially six figures were produced in 1939, the termination of the production during World War II. The six original figures are very rare and cost between £ 500 and  £ 2000. The six original figures are a "Billia"  "Mary", a "Farmer", a "mother", a "FreddieÂ", and "Palace". From these  "Maria" landed on Ebay addition, one recently sold for  £ 681. Less common figures sell more with a "Palace" recently achieving  £ 1500 on Ebay.
After the war production was not resumed until Royal Doulton purchased the Beswick factory and the first figures Modern was produced in 1972. This range of numbers is called a "DBA" and now has some 400 figures, more or less the rarity and value. Many limited editions have been produced, including, Happy Millennium Bunnykins Table, of which only two were produced (one in Royal Doulton Museum and other auctioned in 2000 for  £ 9,800).
Ebay has certainly pulled prices down Bunnykins, and Ebay auctions for common Bunnykins rarely reach more than half the retail price or book value. However, limited editions continue to hold prices well including limited editions with serial numbers below. To illustrate, Bunnykins Oompah band, including a sousaphone player, trumpet, cymbal player, drummer and band major was published thrice. The first, a red version was published between 1984 and 1990 and sell for  £ 40-45 per appear on Ebay. The second edition, a blue version was produced in a limited edition of 250, and sells for a £ 200-300 per set. It is interesting the 3rd version (green) has also been produced in a limited edition of 250, but has not been seen by the author on Ebay.
As prototypes and limited editions One Off variations sometimes appeared on the market. Examples of authentic generate high prices on Ebay recently a prototype of the Father Bunnykins, which usually sells for  £ 15- £ 20, sold for  £ 700.
Bunnykins are great for collecting and while that prices are low, they are a good investment. The low prices currently seen on Ebay are not sustainable in the long term, and it is likely that the number of digits on the market will reduce in the near future, prompting a rebound in prices. So buy them now while theyÂ're Great value!
