Is Submitting Articles Good For SEO?

One of the main principles of SEO is link building and one of the best and least expensive ways to do this is with article marketing. I know many of you don’t like to write and that’s OK because you can hire an outsourcer pretty cheap to do it for you. In this article you will learn what article marketing can and can’t do for you, plus how to use it for SEO.You can also learn seo here.

I first want to talk about what not to expect from article marketing. I know that there are a lot of people saying you can get loads of traffic from simply submitting your articles to the top directories. Sadly in my experience this just isn’t so. Over the last couple of years I have submitted many articles to all of the top directories like ezinearticles.com without much resulting traffic. I also have not gotten much traffic at all from the sites that published these articles so if you where expecting visitors from that source you’re also out of luck. Maybe in the past these things may have been true but not in the present. All the best directories have an abundace of great articles on just about every subject so your article being found and used is about like the chances of finding a needle in a hay stack. But don’t let this stop you from using articles becuase you can still get great SEO benefit from them. Ask anyone online what thier biggest SEO challenge is and nine times out of ten they will say getting Back-links. Article marketing can give your web site these quality anchor text links which is the life-blood of good SEO: more links equals higher rankings. There are other methods of building quality links to your site but they can cost a lot of money as well as taking a lot of time. On the other hand article marketing will allow you to build as many links as your heart desires and, when done right, it will not cost you a fortune or have you slaving away for long hours either. Make no mistake though you will need hundereds of articles to get the maximum benefit. In order to get a lot of articles out there without spending too much time you will need to use either a web based or desktop program. There are many options here that will submit your articles for you. Some will submit them to the top article directories while other will post them to blogs. The best of these applications will even give you many variations of your article through a process called spinning which will make your links even more valuable. There are also companies that will submit your articles by hand for you but these services tend to start costing quite a bit of money if you are submitting very many articles. The applications I spoke about earlier will allow you to submit as many as you want for a flat fee. So as you have seen you will not recieve a great deal of traffic directly from the articles you submit. Instead focus on getting a lot of them out there for the SEO boost that all those back-links will give your site. If you use one of the applications mentioned above you can get hundereds of links every month which will have you at the top of the search engine listings even for competitive keywords. If you need more seo help check out that link.
